Description

The fifth issue of Polacosmic is all about Greek antiquity. Described as the cradle of democracy, Greece is home to countless ruins dating back to ancient times. And while world-famous places like Mycenae or the Acropolis of Athens attract millions of visitors, many lesser-known locations of Ancient Greece are worth exploring.

So, in this issue of my polaroid zine, you will see the results of a long-term instant photography project. Through the years, I had a polaroid camera with me whenever I traveled to Ancient Greek locations. After traveling extensively around the country, I decided to present the best Greek antiquity photos I captured with various polaroid cameras. Apart from a tribute to an ancient civilization, the “Greek antiquity” edition of Polacosmic can be seen as a short travel guide to Greece.

Therefore, at the end of the zine, you’ll also find a short index with the locations and the cameras I used.

Here you’ll find specific details about the “Greek antiquity” issue of Polacosmic.

  • Together with the cover, this polaroid zine has twenty pages.
  • It’s printed on high-quality saddle-stitched US letter paper: the covers are 300 gsm, while the inside pages are 150 gsm.
  • Polacosmic #5 contains only color polaroids.
  • All copies are hand-numbered; usually, each edition consists of 10 or 20 copies. Check the current edition at the bottom of this description.
  • None of the polaroids presented in Polacosmic was altered. That said, there’s no post-processing. The only touch is a +20 in sharpness for printing optimization purposes. Therefore, the colors, the grain, etc., remain intact. Polaroids should always look like polaroids.
