Nice to hear from you. I haven’t connected to other Berlin bloggers so far, unfortunately. I’ve met a couple of people, though, in other places around Europe. Meeting bloggers from Berlin was one of the plans of 2020 -and then, all of a sudden, we couldn’t meet anybody at all… Hopefully, in the near future.

Hello John! No, I can assure you that I write everything by myself. No outsourcing, no minimum wage 😀 I just try to keep myself occupied with writing, both in English and Greek. But thanks a lot for the kind words regarding the blogging ebook. I really appreciate it!

To your question: yes, I think this is a good method. In the Alt tag, you can always add more information if there’s a need to be more specific. For the “Santorini hotel” example, I might add a bit more information -imagine it like describing further what somebody can see in the photo. For example, I might go for “santorini_hotel.jpg” as the file name and use something like “Swimming pool and exterior view of X Hotel in Santorini” for the alt tag. But I think that your strategy is fine even without adding extra info. I also sometimes keep my Alt tags short and identical to the file name.

I have a question. With my photos on my blog, I have a system where I save every photo describing the photo: best-way-to-blog.jpg or something like Santorini-hotel.jpg. For the Alt tag, I keep it the same – best way to blog and Santorini hotel. I remove the hyphens, though. Do you think this is a good method?

So glad to see your comment. I’m doing fine; I hope you’re doing fine too. Yes, I won’t lie: one of the reasons I started blogging was also because I was sick with Social Media. When people create content -any kind of content- they have the right to own this content. The fact that you can lose everything overnight doesn’t sound tempting either. Running a blog is a whole different experience.
