Travel & Street Photography Recap 12

Travel & Street Photography Recap 12

I’m writing the Travel & Street Photography recap 12 in Anafi. Of all the places I might daydream all winter long, Anafi has the most special place in my heart. You see, this remote island in the Aegean Sea is the place where I relax the most. Places like Anafi make me thoughtful, they help me to reflect upon my life and also to set new goals. Spending days at the beach, swimming and staring at the night sky is all I do here.

I have some lazy days in Anafi, and I don’t work that much. It’s actually the first time after more than 14 months that I didn’t turn on my laptop for a full week. As you know, I have already written a couple of texts about Anafi, and I have self-published a small book. This time though, I decided to start something new in Anafi: a Polaroid series. Soon, you will see a brand new section in the blog, called Polaroid Diaries. As a “thank you” to Anafi, the first series of Polaroids will be dedicated to the island.

September 2019 posts

As you probably remember from the previous recap, I didn’t go on vacation in August. The reason is that I preferred to work. But in September it was time for me to relax and enjoy some lazy days off. I have posted only once per week in September. Therefore, in September, I uploaded only four posts. I will, however, get back on track in October.

What did I post in September? Well, first of all, I posted something that you can call a prelude to my Polaroid Diaries. I’ve been using for several years now an instant camera, the Fuji Instax Wide, and I wanted to present some of the photos that I took through years. Plus, I have written a comprehensive guide on how to use instant cameras and why you should have one with you while traveling. You can read here the Traveling with an instant camera article.

Later on, in September, I have posted a guide about Catania. The truth is that I posted the travelogue from Catania a couple of months ago, and some of you might have thought that I forgot to post my usual guide. Well, the things to do in Catania is on the website, containing several places to eat and drink in Catania, as well as tips about accommodation and budgeting. I found Catania surprisingly beautiful, and I think it’s a very underrated city. If you haven’t visited it so far, I think it’s time to add it to your bucket list.

Last but not least, I posted my travelogue from Poznan. That small city in Poland stole my heart and offered me the possibility to relax after an extended period of traveling. Most of the photos you’ll see in this recap are actually taken in Poznan.

The first anniversary of Letters To Barbara

On the 27th of September, the Letters To Barbara became one year old. It was a special moment for me, and I celebrated it with Barbara in Anafi. Therefore, the 4th post of September 2019 was all about my experience after one year of travel blogging. I have organized a giveaway, and I announced the winners on September 30.

So, here’s to 12 months of travel blogging!

What’s on the travel & street photography recap 12

Man in Poznan
Man in Poznan

Well, on the travel & street photography recap 12 you will mainly see photos from Poznan and Anafi. Actually, I’m going to post new entries about Anafi, but I thought it would be nice to present a few of the photos here. You see, summer might not be here anymore, but it doesn’t feel that distant either.

I took, as always, all the photos with the Ricoh GR ii.

Photos from Poznan

So, Poznan is a magnificent city with sophisticated inhabitants. I had some lovely days there, and I would definitely return, too. Plus, the Park Inn Poznan proved to be a fantastic option for accommodation. I can highly recommend it.
